Here are the main highlights from the special spotlight edition for Faith Communities. 15% of all contributions were received in December 0.3% increase in overall giving in 2018 FAITH COMMUNITIES Featured Findings from the 2018 Charitable Giving Report In 2018, Faith Communities were among the leaders in total fundraising percentage from online giving. 9.6% of total contributions to these organizations were made online, reflecting the trend of increased online giving. Organizations must continue to push for growth in this area to keep up with the pace of consumer trends for online activity. Faith Communities saw a 0.3% increase in overall giving. Compared to 2017, a year of change and activism where these organizations saw a 4.7% increase in overall giving, generosity to Faith Communities seems to be stabilizing. Faith Communities received more contributions in December than any other month: 15% of annual giving. With many religious holidays and year-end campaigns, these organizations have a strong appeal to supporters at the end of the year. It's never too late to begin planning for year-end campaigns. For the third year in a row, Faith Communities captured 6% of all online donations on #GivingTuesday 2018.
