#GivingTuesdayNow In light of the unprecedented times triggered by the COVID-19 global pandemic, the world is facing a lot of uncertainty. Businesses, individuals, families, and nonprofits are all facing something they never could have prepared for. While the state of the world is messy, we have seen a lot of human good emerge from the uncertainty. People want to support local businesses, their faith communities, and mission organizations close to their hearts -- they want to help. Let them know how and make it easy! What is it? Blackbaud is a founding partner and proud supporter of GivingTuesday , a global giving movement that occurs the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. The GivingTuesday organization has announced a special giving day — #GivingTuesdayNow — which will take place on Tuesday, May 5. This event has been established as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. #GivingTuesdayNow emphasizes opportunities to give back to communities and causes in safe ways that allow for social connection and kindness even while practicing physical distancing. #GivingTuesdayNow The #GivingTuesdayNow campaign is a quick and easy way to remind your supporters not to forget about their favorite nonprofit during these difficult and uncertain times. Everyone wants to help, but many are simply frazzled and don't know where to turn. While some industries have been in the forefront of everyone's mind due to the nature of the virus, others don't have that same spotlight on them. Now is a great time to remind your supporters of your mission and what kind of support you need from them right now. It Doesn't Have to be Complicated 1. Make sure you have online giving set up and an easy way to direct people to give 2. Create a message that stands out from the oversaturation of inbox deliveries right now, with a compelling subject that ensures your email is seen! 3.
