Do your best to drive social followers to your website, so you can begin to build correspondence and dialogue with them. Your Facebook ® page is no substitute for a great website, which should include a wealth of information, photos, videos, white papers, and more that cannot live on your Facebook page alone. The number one reason to drive traffic to your website? To allow donors to sign up for your newsletter and collect their email addresses and contact information, so you can stay in touch. 2 Connect via shared content. Make sure followers hit the "share" button. Post interesting, entertaining, compelling content that inspires current supporters to share it with their own networks. This will grow your social presence and encourage new prospects to follow you. Organize a group of social media ambassadors who commit to sharing some of your content each month. Treat them like any other committee and recognize their efforts often. Another great way to get your content shared? Simply ask. Tweeting "Please help us get the word out about our biggest event of the year!" is an easy way to galvanize support. 3 Stay in touch with current donors. Social sites are a great way to keep your faith-centered organization "front of mind" with donors. The content you share across social media can serve as a constant reminder of your good work. It's also a great way to show donors what their commitment and their gifts have made possible. Remind them to visit your social pages often, and spend time building connections with them online.
